How important is Quality Content ?: I have been questioned this time and again that which is good Reciprocal or One way links?

It is to be noted that Google is the most visited search engine site and it does not support Reciprocal link exchange. It is true that Linking is an integral part of SEO and helps in Page Ranking but the webmaster misused the concept to get their website at the top. Thus, if you do the reciprocal link exchanging; you run the risk of being banned by Google.

A reciprocal link is a process in which a website when links to you; you link back to them. It is a mutual link between two websites to ensure mutual traffic.

Generally Optimizers tend to believe that to make a strong internet presence one must start making requests for reciprocal links. They also believe that Reciprocal links helps in increasing traffic to a site, and that it helps more of the directory pages listed in search engines and most importantly increase page rank of a website.

These all are things of the past; I personally recommend one way link submissions.

Link building is very important because search engines use the number of quality links that a website has in determining its page ranking. One way links are more valuable that two way links. The value of such links is seen in the fact that many people are now willing to pay one way links.

Google admitted that linking was an important part of page ranking technology but the ‘webmaster’ misused the point. However, with the passage of time the definition changed. When you exchange back links with another website through reciprocal link building, you run the risk of getting banned by Google. Google will not punish you however if some other websites recommend you through a one way back link.
